I travel long distances a lot with my Lucid Air Grand Touring. A lot of the hotels I stay at have Tesla destination chargers. This adapter allows me to use those when I travel. It works exactly as advertised. I never had a chance to test the Max 80Amp as I have yet to find a Tesla destination charger that provides more than 40 amps of power. The lock is one of the reasons why I picked this adapter over the others. It prevents people from stealing this adapter and works exactly as expected. The carry case is just a nice addition for a first world problem, so the adapter does not get scratched.

It works very well for home charging my VWID4 off my Tesla home charger.

We already had a Tesla, and we have Powerwalls and solar so we like the Tesla wall charger and this adapter works great with our Polestar. As soon as you plug it in it starts to charge so if you want to put it on a schedule, I assume you have to do that with your vehicle.

Honestly works really well! We drive a 2022 Mach-E and it charges fast! We are excited to get more use out of it once we are able to charge on official Tesla chargers and Super Chargers

I gave this adapter to my wife to speed up the charging time for her Toyota Rav4 plug in hybrid. She now can use our Tesla home charging station which is much faster then the setup that came from Toyota.
